Algeria's Foreign Minister has backed the bid by former members of hijacked bulker Blida to stop the vessel owner from receiving payment for the sale of the ship. The former Algerian crew members of Blida, which was hijacked by pirates off the coast of Oman in January 2011 and held for 11 months, have obtained a court order preventing owners from benefiting from the sale.
