Government bill moves Dutch flag closer to using private armed guards

The Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR) said on 13 March that it was delighted after the Dutch lower house of parliament voted in favour of allowing Dutch- flagged vessels to use private sector armed guards to protect themselves from pirate attacks.
