Life working at sea is busy and it can be hard to find time to fit in a workout. However, studies show that exercising 7 to 15 minutes once or twice a day is as equally effective as doing long workouts. Microtraining, with variations known as High Intensity Interval Training (HUT) or Tabata (the most popular form of HUT), is not only a workout widely used by elite units in the defence, police, fire departments, and athletes worldwide, but has gained popularity among the general population too.
