In asynchronous machines, there has been little study of the short-circuited rotor with alternating slots, which has mainly been used for powerful machines, in order to reduce the starting current and increase the starting torque. In the present work, we propose an improved design of the short-circuited rotor with alternating slots of Various forms (Fig. 1); this design improves both the starting characteristics and the energy efficiency of the operating Conditions of three-phase asynchronous motors (AM) of moderate and high power and also increases the limiting Parameters of the machines [1-3].
