It's not a done deal yet, but British practice Baca Architects is in with a good chance of a key role in designing a 37ha, 4,000-home development on a former industrial site in Paris. Baca's specialism in flood-mitigating design has made it one of three selected to design the 'Seine-Gare-Vitry' site running from Vitry station to the banks of the Seine. It is one of the largest development projects in Greater Paris, with challenges similar to those in the Thames Estuary.
