RCTO is a necessary requirement from some organizations. In the requirement, the organization requires the Bios chipset not allowed to be assembled on certain countries like China. In contrast, the Bios chipset only can be assembled on the authorized countries. Since the regulation, the customers in the organizations wouldn't purchase the product without RCTO design. To achieve RCTO requirement, a designer needs a ROM socket, a connector to communicate with Bios chipset, implemented in the system. Traditional design needs to leave one room for it. It could make the battery pack smaller because some of rooms leaves for the socket area (Figure 1).
