HUD is a fast growing tendency In automotive market.Actual solution with wedge pvb is not enough to satisfy the demand of the market in terms of costs / quality / possibility of size.The idea is to use a projector with p polarized light.With an incidanl angle of 55 to 65° the reflection on glass on face 1 and 4 is close to 0.If we have a coaling on face3, we only have the coating reflection that is visible.No more ghost image issue + no need for Wedge PVB.The coating is optimized to provide a bright and color neutral image in reflection at the incidence angle of the projector, while keeping acceptable properties at normal incidence in terms of transmission, in addition the coating can offer other functions (heatable glazings/ low energetic transmission).
