Method to detect and mitigate the overtemperature events in the aftertreatment system

摘要

Exhaust Over temperature is a safety hazard that can occur in all vehicles having components able to create exothermic reaction, mainly in case of aftertreatment line. In our case, different root causes can lead to overtemperature aftertreatment event causing damages to exhaust components and vehicle parts. The proposed invention combines the benefits of d method to detect the different root causes and their identification and a method to mitigate the different scenarios with dedicated remedial actions.
