Elastomultiester/Elastarell-P Fiber Application in Knit Fabrics

摘要

Several warp and circular knitted fabrics were made using side by side bicomponent fibers of the PTT/PET composition, generically known as elastomultiester fibers in the EU and Elasterell-P in the USA. These fabrics were then tested for stretch and recover and other performance characteristics. The study finds that bicomponent fibers provide excellent balance of stretch/recovery and hand feel in knitted fabrics.
