Laser-cutting of paper drinking straws or paper tubes

Drinking-straws, specifically paper composite straws (of paper and adhesive), may be difficult to cut at the right lengths and angles. At the moment of cutting the straw, it is normally not fully hardened, i.e. the cutting technique has to cope with a wet composite (paper + polymer) material, in the shape of a round tube.
