Screen printing is a well-known and robust technology to print decoration designs onto automotive glazings. Indeed, it enables a fast and well defined printing for both opaque black bands, dot designs, or logo printing for example. It is very well efficient for long series of production of the same pattern. However, one main drawback of this technology is the impossibility to customize the printed pattern for each glass. In the case of logo printing, one operator has to spend time before each production start up to prepare the screens and adjust manually the global traceability dot pattern by applying a tape on the screen to mask the unwanted printing areas. Regarding fine and unique glass traceability for mass production, this is simply technically not feasible without changing the screen for each glass.
