CAC duct connector key tool poke-yoke

The CAC (Charge Air Cooler) duct connector key tool poka-yoke is an error proof tool that eliminates failure mode caused by an incorrect connection of CAC ducts. To install CAC ducts properly, the wire retainer of the connector, must fall on the groove to guarantee the lock out and seal (Figure 2. Position 4). Due to duct is manually installed, sometimes the operators do not complete the installation trajectory (Figure 2. Position 1-2-3-4) needed for a proper connection, causing a failure mode. The current error proof is to request the operators to pull out the duct to assure the connection, which makes the operation human dependent. The main purpose of this key tool is to migrate the connection from human dependent to system dependent poka-yoke.
