The electric bicycle comes equipped with an HMI Display that includes a GPS Tracker. As part of the eBIKE architecture, the rider's cell phone can be paired to the vehicle. Utilizing these two capabilities, emergency response can be provided to the rider through an Automatic Emergency Call feature. The AEC feature applies bike specific information including Cadence Sensor feedback, Rider Torque Input, GPS Location, Accelerometer Data and Inclinometer data along with Rider Heart Rate to determine if the rider needs assistance. The feature then determines status conditions such as Rider State of Health and Crash State. The AEC feature utilizes the bike Telemetry information, Rider State of Health and the Communication Link to communicate with First Responders or designated Emergency contacts.
