FORTUNE 1,000 EXECUTIVES RANK PRIVACY CONCERNS HIGH

Fortune 1,000 companies increasingly are concerned about privacy, even though many of them have not yet created full privacy policies and programs, according to a new KPMG study. Some 19 percent of 101 executives surveyed rated privacy as their companies' top priority, and another 40 percent viewed it as "extremely important." When asked to rank several issues from "very important" to "not important," 78 percent ranked privacy very important, third behind customer satisfaction (91 percent) and compliance with rules and regulations (83 percent).
