REC Index Holds Ground For Second Straight Month

The spring respite continued in June for the REC Index of 48 e-commerce companies, which stayed at a relatively even keel for the second straight month. After gaining a mere 0.6 percent in May, the REC Index finished June down just 0.6 percent. The REC Index fared better than the Dow Jones Industrial Average (down 3.1 percent) and the Standard and Poor's 500 (down 2.5 percent), however it lagged behind the NASDAQ Composite's 2.4 percent gain.
