If you could grab a piece of a $50 billion (U.S. market and satisfy consumers' needs for rice and convenience at the same time, you no doubt would grab all you could. That's what cigarette e-tailers are doing in the massive U.S. market for tobacco products. While many other e-tailers have suffered or gone out of business amid dot-com dreariness over the past 18 months, online cigarette sales appear to be on the upswing. "It grows every week," said Paul Pierce, a supervisor with AMB Smoke Shop in Irving, N.Y., which sells online through its Nativesale.com Web site. "It's only going to get better as 25 percent of the U.S. population smokes."
