Companies participating in business-to business (B2B) e-commerce could use a new class of business applications - called extended relationship management (XRM) - to support dynamic collaboration, improve offerings, and better serve customers, states a new report from Forrester Research. B2B company partnering approaches simply have been pushing inventory around the supply chain, rather than reducing it, according to the report, "The Collaboration Imperative."
