Companies supplying goods through business toibusiness (B2B) e-commerce marketplaces can gain greater volume by offering value-added services to buyers, according to new research from Jupiter Media Metrix. The industry analysis firm, after surveying about 400 B2B executives, states that more than 80 percent of B2B buyers would be strongly influenced to trade online with suppliers who offer services such as collaborative product design and supply-chain inventory visibility.
