Innovation and Regional Growth in the European Union

摘要

This book presents a collection of empirical studies on the determinants of regional growth in the European Union. The investigation focuses on technological innovation as a major factor explaining regional growth differences in the European Union, and points to a set of structural conditions - and in particular human capital, infrastructures and policies - as important factors enabling (or hampering) the process of knowledge diffusion across regions.
