Eternal Egypt

Once again I find myself waxing lyrical about Ancient Egypt. It is such an ever-present part of life and research in the twenty-first century. Not only does the interest in Ancient Egypt never wane, but we continue to recognise this ancient country and culture as one of significant importance for our understanding of the development of a culture. The ancient Egyptians still have many hidden secrets that we would love to be able to unlock and by doing so understand more about the legacy that has been left behind by this amazing group of people. For 5,000 years the Egyptian civilisation was one of the most progressive and advanced in the world. Their thoughts and ideas have influenced many other ancient cultures and still today discoveries are being made, archaeological finds unearthed and new research entered into. Being able to bring all the resulting information and evidence together is an unenviable task but it does result in the unmistakable wealth of books, television programmes, films, exhibitions and of course websites that are available both to the casual browser, amateur enthusiast and academic student or researcher.
