This sturdy stalwart is the 57th yearbook published by the Permanent International Committee of Linguists under the auspices of the International Council for Philosophy and Humanistic Studies. Always a reliable reference source, always indispensable to linguists, Linguistic Bibliography/Bibliographie Linguistique (LB/BL) promises even greater utility henceforward.rnFrom this volume onward LB/BL is published by the prestigious firm of Brill (founded in 1683) of Leiden, where the editorial team is now located. Change of publisher has already brought welcome innovations. Brill has installed an expert, five-person Advisory Board. Subject and language indices, with much more specific information, now complement the traditional index of names. Coverage is improved for several areas, such as the indigenous languages of Brazil. Apart form the annual volumes Brill also publish the Linguistic Bibliography Online.
