British Pamphlets on the American Revolution, 1763-1785

The volume of material published in Britain at the time preceding and during the American Revolution was very extensive; but it has received little scholarly attention from historians who have focused primarily on American publications. British Pamphlets on the American Revolution, 1763-1785 includes 61 representative pamphlets published in Britain between the end of the Seven Years War (French and Indian War) and the end of the American War of Independence. The editor selected the material based on what is and is not readily available in modern editions.
