Concise Encyclopedia of Comparative Sociology

When reviewing the Encyclopedia of Cross-Cultural Psychology (Keith, 2013), I noted the paradoxical fact that as the world becomes ever more monocultural, awareness of social and cultural differences is becoming ever greater (RR 2014/084). This is most certainly reflected in the reference literature: the issue of Reference Reviews containing that review also covered Atrocities, Massacres & War Crimes (a multicultural encyclopedia topic if ever there was one); the Encyclopedia of Fairies in World Folklore; The Encyclopedia of Media & Communication; The Wiley-Blackwell Encyclopedia of Globalization; the Dictionary of Human Geography and several other cross-cultural or international reference sources. The earliest issue of Reference Reviews that I possess, volume 3(1) 1989, only contained two of the 95 reviews that could really be considered multicultural.
