With the Elan in the air satisfying the bits of the flight envelope that my CARF Rookie will not reach, and with my transition to at least partial 2.4GHz operation underway, I'm very conscious of the fact that were it not for my ten-year-old son taking up the fine art of stick-twiddling, I don't think a propeller-driven model would be making its way to the field for my regular weekend therapy. I'm enjoying my jets, and as the weather improves - and our boggy runway remains bereft of the lake that plagued us throughout last year - I'm enjoying them regularly.
