October debut for three GCR (N) locos?

The Great Central Railway (Nottingham) is optimistic it can have three debutant locos at its October 10/11 diesel gala with repairs well progressed on 08220, Class 37 D6709 and 47765.rnThe cab floors are now completed on the 37 and bodywork attention continues. The defective bearing on 47765 has been replaced and the 47 is being checked for leaks in its coolant system. Once new oil is added a start-up is planned for the summer.
