In this issue, the RI interview is with the Diesel Traction Group, owner of several locos, none higher profile than D1015 Western Champion. One thing that came across was the need to get more volunteers working on its locos. In fact this is a common problem facing most preservation groups whether they work on steam, diesel or electric trains. So, if you are keen on gettingrninvolved, getting your hands dirty and helping towards the restoration of any item of railway rolling stock or infrastructure, they why not!? You'll get a great sense of satisfaction from helping a project move forward and also meet new people in the process.
