The Class 40 Preservation Society provided 40145 East Lancashire Railway for a four-day Pathfinder Tours' Scottish Landcruise on April 2-5 after DB Schenker was unable to provide suitable power which was passed to work to Kyle of Lochalsh.rnThe train started at Salisbury and was initially booked to be hauled by a pair of Riviera Class 47s to Braidhurst loop (Motherwell) where the train divided with six coaches going to Fort William and the other six to Inverness. A second pair of RT 47s had been diagrammed for this leg, but in the weeks prior to the train's running there was some concern from DBS about using 47s.
