Tracklaying has started at the Southern end of part of the former Midland Great Western Railway (MGWR) route from Drogheda to Navan where a new park and ride station is being built at Pace, just North of Dunboyne.rnWork on rebuilding the 41/2 mile line began in December 2008 and it is on schedule for completion in the second half of 2010. The MGWR route to Navan closed in April 1963 but the sectionrncurrently being reopened was retained as a siding as far as Fairyhouse Halt, just North of the station now being built at Pace, for the storage of wagons until it was lifted in 1965.
