Royal Oak runs again

The new owners of 50017 Royal Oak have successfully started the loco for the first time on November 1 and it later moved under its own power over a short length of the Plym Valley Railway (PVR), its new home.rnThe loco arrived on June 3 from Tyseley and has been worked on by its owner and a small party of volunteers. The loco still requires some more weatherproofing but on the whole is sound. Continued work will be undertaken to get the loco running properly and then attention will turn to the bodywork next spring. It is hoped to have the loco running at the PVR next summer.
