Cornish trip for 40 and 52

The Class 40 Preservation Society (CFPS) is promoting a two-day Cornish charter using 40145 and the Diesel Traction Group's (DTG's) D1015 Western Champion to run on May 15/16 2010. The train has not been confirmed yet and is subject to there being enough interest in the trip, which is expected to be priced at about ￡120.rnThe proposal is on May 15 the train will leave the North West hauled by 40145 and run via Birmingham, Oxford and Swindon to Westbury. Here D1015 will be added and the two locos will run in tandem to Plymouth. The locos will then top-and-tail to Penzance for a break with 40145rnleading. After the break, there will be a trip to Falmouth and back to Penzance. After an overnight stay in Penzance, the locos will top-and-tail first to St Ives and back to Penzance and then to Par, Newquay and Plymouth. D1015 will lead into St Ives while 40145 will lead into Newquay. The two locos will then work in tandem from Plymouth to either Bristol, Westbury or Oxford for 40145 to work forward solo.
