Warship nameplate sells for £9,000

Great Central Railwayana Auctions held another of its popular auctions on July 16 at The Royal Show Ground, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. A nameplate from one of the original five North British D600 Warships, 0603 Conquest, made a respectable £9,000 despite having been repainted. A totem from Darlington made £2,400, with its geographical sister Stockton making £2,100. All prices shown do not include buyer's premium or VAT if applicable.
