Scunthorpe steelworks Class 108 rebuilt

Rarely reported is the Class 108 DMU centre brake vehicle which is in use as hauled stock at Scunthorpe Steelworks and which has been rebuilt as an observation saloon. Trailer Brake Second 59245 is preserved by the Appleby-Frodingham Railway Preservation Society and is used to provide tours round the steelworks, along with Driving Trailer Second 56207. The coach has had its corridor connection removed from the guard's van end, along with the cage and has also had a centre window installed. Bench seats have also been provided. It has been working at the steelworks since preservation in 1990.
