New shunter for SRPS

On July 22, British Gypsum handed over a 0-4-ODH locomotive to the SRPS. Built by Andrew Barclay in 1968 as AB552, the handover was made by Chris Britton, Operations Manager for BG at Kirkby Thore and Cocklakes Works in Cumbria - sites where the loco had spent its working life. It was accepted by SRPS Chairman John Evans, and will be used as depot shunter and on infrastructure trains. The loco has been fully overhauled and painted in its original BG white, and it carries the initials FGF - standing for FG Flood after the then British Plaster Board Chairman. Strangely most of the British Gypsum locos in Cumbria were 'named' with initials of various people, rather than carrying their full names.
