There was the return of a Class 37 on the Fort William-Edinburgh ScotRail 'sleeper' on August 15, but only for a mile! The incident happened when 67009 failed just after leaving with the 1950 to Edinburgh. Having only reached the junction for the Alcan works, the train came to a stand and West Coast Railways' 37676 Loch Rannoch hauled the train back into the station. Passengers were put on 156493 to Edinburgh to join the Invemess-Euston 'sleeper'. 67004 worked the northbound sleeper to Fort William the following morning.
