Coventry's Electric Railway Museum has received yet another exhibit, this time one of the power cars from the ill-fated Advanced Passenger Train. Non-driving power car 49006 has moved to the site from the National Railway Museum annexe at Shildon on permanent loan. Built by British Rail in Derby in 1983 the coach was used in the middle of an APT pre-production set on high speed services between London and Glasgow via the West Coast Main Line.
