East Coast restarts train namings

East Coast named 91109 Sir Bobby Robson on March 29 at Newcastle station, and reaffirmed its plans to start naming locos again. The ceremony was performed by Lady Elsie Robson, Sir Bobby's widow, and Alan Shearer, a Newcastle United legend and their top goalscorer and patron of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation charity. East Coast Chairwoman Elaine Holt told invited guests "We are honoured to name the first of our prestigious locomotives Sir Bobby Robson in memory of such a legendary and much-respected sporting figure.
