Eurotunnel buys more Vossloh diesel locos

Eurotunnel owned open access freight company Europorte is to buy 12 more Vossloh Euro 4000 Co-Co diesel locos for use operating freight services in France and elsewhere in Europe. The operator already has four, 4001-04, on hire from Beacon Rail. The additional locos are believed to be for new traffic streams and may eventually replace the leased fleet of locos which includes smaller Vossloh designs.
