Bachmann's all new Peppercorn 'A2' reached the shops in October, and first out is LNER apple green 60528 Tudor Minstrel. There is also a British Railways lettered apple green version and two in BR green with early and late crests to choose from in the coming months.Bachmann's model is the straight 'A2' which carried numbers 525-539, later 60525-60539 after nationalisation, and were a development of the 'A2/3' with the 'A2s' being introduced in 1947 in LNER lined apple green. The rest of the fleet was delivered from January to August 1948 with the first emerging in the crossover lined apple green livery with British Railways lettering on the tender, as depicted here by 60528 Tudor Minstrel, and BR-style numbers.
