The recent locomotive shortages experienced by the East Lancashire Railway will not be repeated next year, according to acting General Manager Andy Morris. The line is pleased to announce the imminent arrival of Riddles Class 4 tank 80080, which will be on loan from the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust (which also owns Duchess of Sutherland) for the 2011 season.The popular locomotive has previously seen action on the main line and on 'Steam on the Met' specials and is expected to be a draw for visitors. Mr Morris commented: "The arrival of 80080 brings a welcome boost to the locomotive roster, removing our reliance on smaller locomotives such as 'Jinty' 47324 for our heavier services.
