This A4 landscape book follows on from Scottish Steam (2004) and Diesels in Scotland 2007). Bill Anderson,who sadly died in 1989, had been prolific at photographing steam, and carried on taking pictures of diesels because, after all, the scenery had not changed much!This volume is a 60/40 split between diesels and steam, with the majority in colour, although much of the steam is in black and white.Captions are provided, but certainly for the diesels Bill was sadly not the most meticulous at keeping notes, so dates and loco numbers are sometimes vague. Traction is varied, for both diesel and steam.All in all though, over its 160 pages this is another outstanding collection of pictures with many views not often seen or published before as well as a good smattering of the classic locations.
