As expected, D6729 moves to the EOR

Despite earlier denials from the Epping and Ongar Railway that D6729 would not be moving to its site, the worst kept secret in railway preservation was made reality on October 22 when the ex-DRS 37 was moved from the Mid Norfolk Railway to its new home at the EOR.The 37 was moved under cover of darkness during the morning and then hidden out of sight up the line before being driven into North Weald station that night to the surprise and delight of the volunteers gathered for their latest social evening.
