Shore supply for CEP?

Investigations are taking place as to the practicality of providing a shore supply for 3-CEP EMU 1198, based at the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway, which may enable the unit to operate a short distance under its own power. The owning group, the Electric Multiple Unit Preservation Society, is also looking into the possibility of using batteries for a similar purpose.
