Stratford to Cheshunt

This offering from Middleton Press covers the Eastern Region main line from Stratford to Cheshunt in East London, including the Southbury loop. Also included is the now closed and lifted line from Lower Edmonton to Angel Road. The images, all black and white, are a good mix of steam, diesel and electric with a nice selection of early diesels including Class 15s, 16s, 20s, 30s and 37s, plus the odd interloper such as Class 33s and 43s. There is also a good mix of infrastructure pictures and some of the images are certainly inspirational and show the railway in its neat prime before weeds, vegetation and vandalism took over.
