The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's (GWR) 'Bridges to Broadway' share issue, which aims to raise £500,000 to repair five bridges between Laverton and Broadway, passed the £300,000 mark on February 8 and had hit £330,000 two days later. The success of the share issue, organised under the Government's Enterprise Initiative Scheme, means that contracts for the work on the five bridges that the railway's extension will need to cross are now being put out to tender.
