D9525: The 14 has been shunted out of the workshop at Rowsley, Peak Rail to enable the frames and engine bay to be steam cleaned. The opportunity was taken whilst it was outside to crane the overhauled turbo back into the loco. The turbo was then bolted back into position and pipework and flexible hoses were then replaced, including those of the water system as most were life expired. D9539: Based at the Ribble Steam Railway, D9539 is to have its troublesome starter and control system replaced courtesy of a spare from the Heritage Shunters Trust. All Class 14s had a weakness with the inertia starter motor systems from new. The loco is booked to attend the Class 14 50th anniversary gala at the East Lanes Railway later this year and needs to be reliable for the event.
