Despite it being the wagons that carry the freight, there has always been a lack of books on these vital vehicles, especially BR-era wagons no longer in use. This book goes a little way to redress that balance. It is a 96 page hardback book and, as its title suggests, is in colour. 12 chapters provide information on the major types of unfitted and vacuum-braked wagons. The format is a couple of colour pictures per page supported by lengthy captions. Tables add to the information.
