On April 25, David Lewis held his increasingly popular railwayana auction at Crewe Heritage Railway Centre. A nameplate from 60079 Foinaven proved extremely popular with bidders, selling for £5,000, especially as Steadfast, from the first of the class, 60001, only sold for £1,350. Rapid from 67018 seemed a bargain at £920 considering the small number of named locomotives in the class as did the £800 paid for Eastleigh Depot, previously carried by 58017 - the first of the 58s to be withdrawn.
