The Somerset and Dorset Locomotive Co substituted its Class 20 D8188 for its other one, D8059, for the visits to the Spa Valley and Dean Forest Railways. Both have been suffering problems this year, but with the replacement of the vacuum brake exhauster at the Midland Railway Centre D8059 was back to full working order. D8188 still requires a visit to a load bank to rectify its issues.
