1. The Nene Valley Railway celebrates its 40th anniversary at the start of June with a special gala over the weekend of June 3/4. A mixture of steam and diesel, it will include one of the Class 14s, 31271 and 55022 Royal Scots Grey from the diesel stable. Also on offer will the chance to ride the Fletton Branch in one of the brake vans behind Class 31 31271 to celebrate 60 years of diesels in service around the Peterborough area since 1957. Brake Van rides will run at 1035, 1135, 1235, 1335 and 1430.
