Encouraging young enthusiasts

MY SON Billy turned 13 on April 15 and at his request we (his mum, younger brother and I) took a return trip from Ely to Norwich as he's completely absorbed by locomotives, railways and, basically, anything connected to the rail industry. We spend many a weekend or evening travelling to various places so he can record trains on his video camera and build up a collection of favourite spots. He prefers to video and photograph trains rather than the more traditional method of writing them down; maybe a sign of modern times?
